Literature Text

None of the character names are mine.  They were just random names I came up with, and I left it very vague, so please do not think I am writing about you.

Lily woke with a start, her blue hair matted and tangled.  Her head pounded, leaving her in the dark of where she was.  The familiar bed sheets relieved her a bit.  She turned on the nearby lamp to illuminate the room.  Her clock read six in the morning.  Time to get up.  She stretched her back, yawning while doing so.

She headed to the kitchen, looking into the fridge.  Her stomach grumbled at the sight of the empty area.  Not one piece of cheese in sight.  She knew what she had to do.  Grabbing her headphones and cat hat, she dashed out of the door to the nearby shop.

"What can I get for ya, miss?" The old, grubby shopkeeper was there behind the counter.

"I need a doughnut."

He slapped it onto the counter.  "That'll be a hundred cheese, darling."

"What?!" Lily exclaimed.  "I barely have ten cheese!"

"Nothing I can do about it.  The price is the price.  Unless you have fraises.  In which case, I'll take ten of those."  Lily bit the bottom of her lip.  They had twenty fraises at home, saved for utmost importance.  It wasn't worth a doughnut.

"Never mind," She said, leaving the shop.  "I'll come back later."  He tipped his hat at her, and she headed towards Vanilla.  A vibration buzzed in her hat.  She took out her chat log, tapping a button to stop the buzzing.  Her mother PMed her.

Sweetie, be sure to be safe when you go get cheese.  Stick to the Vanilla road, please.
Lily rolled her eyes, and shoved the chat log back into her hat.  Vanilla had the easist maps, naturally drawing in all of the nubs.  She hated going there, because half of the shamans were complete nubs who don't know what they're doing and just wasting the precious time she could be using to gather more cheese.

Nonetheless, she spent the majority of the day there, gathering all the cheese she could scrape up.  Totaling in at twenty-eight cheese.  Not enough for food, or for items.  Instead of sitting in the waiting room for another thirty seconds for the next map, Lily pushed out of the Exit door.  On the worn out dirt path, she took a sharp turn to the right.

There it was.

Survivor.
This is my first piece of literature ever posted on Deviantart!  It is a fan-fic for a game called Transformice.

Thank you for reading!
